The Society of Construction Law New Zealand is pleased to be hosting the 9th International Society of Construction Law Conference. The conference is being held in Auckland on 3-5 November 2021 and will bring leading experts in construction law from around the world to Auckland.
This year our conference theme is: "Building for Change"
Legal systems are dynamic in nature often built on precedent and always by incremental development. With the passage of time and severing of colonial apron strings, the common law has developed in unique ways around the world. This applies equally to construction law and how it operates in the Asia-Pacific region.
That development continues with new influences in the form of natural disasters, who funds large scale infrastructure projects and the adaptation (and adoption) of emerging technologies. The SCL 9th International Construction Law Conference will explore construction law as it relates to contracts, negligence, product liability and dispute resolution through keynote and specialist presentations along with two streams of plenary sessions over two days.
We invite you to download the prospectus below and look forward to working with you to achieve a successful conference.
